Legal basis for processing

Jarva processes personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Contract: provision of personal data is necessary for the performance of an agreement with you and/or for pre-contractual steps requested by you.
  • Legitimate interests: processing is necessary to operate, secure, and improve the platform, including analytics and the development of AI systems using aggregated and anonymized data, provided that such interests do not override your rights and freedoms.

How we use your data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

  1. Running and optimizing campaigns. Jarva uses your ad account data, shop data, and social media metrics to create, monitor, and optimize marketing campaigns in real time. By analyzing campaign performance and user engagement, Jarva adjusts ad targeting, budgeting, and delivery to ensure the best possible results.
  2. Developing and improving Jarva. We may use campaign, spend and performance data from your use of the platform, in aggregated form that does not identify you or any natural person, to develop and improve the platform, including to train our models. We rely on legitimate interest as the legal basis for this processing. You can object to this use at any time by contacting us.
  3. Personalization of campaigns. Jarva uses the data from your online store and social media accounts to tailor your marketing campaigns to your specific needs. Product details, pricing information, and customer behavior are factored into the way Jarva sets up and optimizes your ads.
  4. User and account support. We use your account information (such as name and email) to provide support and service-related communications, and, where permitted by law, to inform you about new features or updates.
  5. Data analytics and insights. Jarva uses the data it collects to generate reports and insights, showing which campaigns perform best, which audiences engage most, and how to improve future campaigns.
  6. Compliance with legal requirements. In certain cases, we may need to use your data to comply with legal obligations, such as regulatory requirements or law enforcement requests. This will only happen if required by law, and we will ensure that your privacy is respected in the process.

Jarva processes personal data in accordance with the purposes and legal bases described in this Privacy Statement.

Data storage and security

We store and process Jarva data using secure cloud infrastructure and service providers (for example, hosting and databases). Access to production systems is restricted to authorized Jarva personnel who need it to operate and support the service.

We use industry-standard security measures such as encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure secret management for sensitive credentials (like API tokens). We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run Jarva (for example, hosting and database providers) and with advertising platforms you connect (such as Meta and Google) to provide the service. Meta and Google process data under their own privacy policies. While we take reasonable measures to protect personal data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cross-border data transfers

We store your data in the European Union. Some of our service providers are located in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States, which may not provide the same level of data protection as the EEA. Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. You may request further information about these safeguards by contacting us at support@jarva.ai.

  • Right to data portability: to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used format and to have it transferred to another controller where technically feasible.
  • Right to object: to object to certain types of processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or where an alleged infringement occurred.

U.S. state privacy rights

If you reside in the United States, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law (for example, California’s CCPA and CPRA, Virginia’s VCDPA, Colorado’s CPA, or similar laws in other states). These generally include the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the right to request deletion or correction, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. Automated decisions

Jarva uses automated systems to allocate ad spend, adjust targeting, and pause underperforming campaigns. Every automated decision operates strictly within the budget limits you set, and any significant spend increase is suggested by Jarva and requires your explicit approval before it takes effect. You can pause, override, or reverse any automated decision at any time through the platform. If you have concerns about an automated decision that affects you, you can request a human review by contacting us at support@jarva.ai.

Third-party integrations

Jarva integrates with third-party platforms like Google Ads and Facebook. These platforms may process data on your behalf when running campaigns. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Jarva uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the platform, analyze performance, and support marketing activities. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.

  • Necessary cookies, which are required for the basic operation of the platform.
  • Analytics cookies, which help us understand how the service is used and how campaigns perform (for example, Google Analytics).

Where required by law, cookies and similar technologies are used only with your consent. You can manage or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings or our cookie consent tools.
